How to update an App in Single App Mode?

Satish Shetty Updated by Satish Shetty

Single App Mode in iOS locks a supervised device to run only the selected app, disallowing access to any other apps. This feature is commonly used in scenarios such as point-of-sale or dedicated use. As Single App Mode blocks access to other apps, updates to the app cannot typically be installed while in this mode. To update the app, the MDM administrator must temporarily exit Single App Mode.

By utilizing Codeproof, the MDM Administrator can remotely disable the kiosk mode, remotely install the app update, and then restart Single App Mode, all without the need for on-site intervention. This provides a convenient and efficient solution for updating apps while in Single App Mode.
