Managed App Configuration Using the Cyber Device Manager

What is Managed App Configuration?

Managed App Configuration refers to a set of configuration options that administrators can apply to apps on mobile devices that are managed through a Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution. These configurations allow IT administrators to customize and control app behavior, and settings within an enterprise environment.

Benefits of using the Managed App Configuration:

These configurations can be used in both BYOD and fully managed devices. Managed App Configurations allow administrators to predefine app settings that can be securely deployed to managed devices, ensuring consistency, security, and efficiency across an organization's devices.

For example, IT administrators can remotely configure end-user email IDs, email server addresses, etc., in apps like Outlook and IceWarp OfficeEmail. Settings can include configuration variables such as %useremail% and %username%, which the MDM automatically populates with actual values and pushes to the device.
