Issue: We have noticed that some Android phone models have MDM inactive when the phone is locked. In such cases, when trying to remove the password remotely, it is not possible as the MDM app is not launched in the background.
Solution: Unfortunately, the only option left in such cases is to perform a hard factory reset using following step by step instructions.
Note: We understand that performing a hard factory reset is not an ideal experience for the customer, but unfortunately, we do not have any other options in such cases where MDM is inactive on locked Android phones. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and are working towards finding alternative solutions to this issue.
